Spring on the way

Despite snow prevailing in some parts of the U.S. and continuing cold nights and mornings in Atlanta, spring is beginning to show its face clearly. We’ve just unpacked a shipment of yardage (for a folding screen in our new showroom), hand-knotted guest towels, napkins and placemats in the classic Busatti Donna di Coppe fabrics shown here. This weave is bi-colore, where the warp is not a typical natural ivory or taupe thread but instead a thread-dyed color, adding 2 layers of beautiful color to the fabric. The pink thread is antique pink, one of our favorites; it is more neutral than one might expect and a continuing pleasure to look at. We see the essence of spring in these fabrics: enduring, fresh beauty and color.
